About Keith
Keith Soko is running for the Iowa House of Representatives in District 93, representing Bettendorf and LeClaire. A 22-year resident of Bettendorf, Soko brings nearly two decades of experience as a professor at St. Ambrose University, where he teaches courses on social justice, medical ethics, and moral issues.
Soko holds a Ph.D. in Religious Studies and Ethics from Marquette University and has dedicated his career to education and community service. Before coming to Iowa, he worked in parish ministry in Milwaukee, Los Angeles, and Toledo, Ohio.
His campaign priorities include protecting human rights, defending women's rights and LGBTQ+ protections, expanding healthcare access, fully funding public education, advancing immigration reform, and ensuring environmental safety for Iowa families.
Keith and his wife Jane, a music teacher and band director, have been married for 41 years and raised three children in Bettendorf. Outside of teaching, he is a musician, singer-songwriter, and youth baseball coach.
